LEAD COOK – LYON LAKE GRILL

Are you an experienced and passionate culinary professional looking to take your skills to the next level? Lyon Lake Grill is seeking a dedicated and creative Lead Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Lead Cook, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our valued guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Culinary Skills and Experience:

  • Mastery in a range of cooking techniques and methods, including various utensils, ovens, grills and fryers.

  • Proven experience in casual restaurant with tavern/bistro type cuisine.

  • Possess culinary education and relevant certifications.

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.

  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).

  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.

2. Creativity and Innovation:

  • Develop and introduce innovative and exciting menu items.

  • Stay adaptable to incorporate feedback and current food trends.

3. Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene:

  • Hold certification in food handling and safety protocols.

  • Maintain a consistently clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

  • Follow all sanitation procedures.

  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.

4. Time Management and Efficiency:

  • Work efficiently and accurately, even under high-pressure conditions.

  • Exhibit punctuality and reliability in all kitchen operations.

  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.

  • Check the quality of ingredients.

  • Monitor stock and update the General Manager for ordering.

5. Teamwork and Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.

  • Communicate clearly to convey instructions and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  • Ability to work in a team.

  • Possess very good communication skills.

6. Passion and Dedication:

  • Demonstrate a genuine love for cooking and the culinary arts.

  • Show a willingness to continuously learn and improve your culinary skills.

  • Ensure precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a cook.

  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.

  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).

  • Excellent physical condition and stamina.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.

KITCHEN SUPPORT STAFF – LYON LAKE GRILL is looking for someone to assist in the kitchen. Must be able to work as a team player supporting the needs of the cook. The job requires standing for long periods of time. This person will assist in the preparation of meals as well as stock food inventory, do dishes and clean. Starting pay $12.48/hour with increases depending on experience. Work shifts are Tuesday thru Saturday days/night both part- and full-time hours depending on availability.

BARTENDERS/SERVERS – LYON LAKE GRILL  is looking for enthusiastic, personable individuals ready to greet and serve our guests with a smile and excellent service. This job requires a person to interact with guests by taking and serving food and drink orders timely. Maintaining a clean and pleasing bar/restaurant area, as well as restrooms, a must. Ability to use point-of-sale software and process payments and correct change required. Must be 17+ and be able to obtain mandatory alcohol server certification (cost to be paid my MCC). Day and night shifts Tuesday through Sunday.  Starting pay $6.99/hour with tips

PRO SHOP ASSOCIATE – MCC  is looking for enthusiastic, personable individuals with an automatic smile to greet our members and guests when they come in for golf. Job requires computer skills for making tee times, checking in golfers and taking payment through our tee time and point-of-sale software. Individuals work independently and with others to maintain a clean and inviting area in and around the Pro Shop with cleaning of the men’s locker room included. Ability to use proper equipment with regard to picking the range balls and cleaning same. Physical activities include washing carts, moving carts, filling divots on range. Starting pay $12.48/hour with part- and full-time shifts available daily (includes evenings and weekends).  

GROUNDS CREW – MCC is looking for someone who can work independently to maintain the entire grounds at MCC. Experience with outdoor equipment a must. Individuals will work early hours mowing, trimming and grooming the fairway, greens, rough and sand traps. Full- and part-time shifts available Monday thru Saturday. Starting pay $12.48/hour depending on experience.
